通过新的数字化设计方式,纸亭的生成结合了竹和皮纸的材料特性,促进了纸亭材料系统的涌现,达到材料、结构、与形式的统一。伞亭的设计结合了传统的竹材料,纸伞手工艺, 和新的数字化设计技术,试图寻找纸伞结构的全新的物质形态和空间体验,在继承传统的同时又给予了它新的生命力。

This project explores an alternative design approach that aims at understanding wood’s complex material make up and behavior.By controlling the form finding locally, designer reserves the freedom to achieve a more dynamic grid shell system and able to generate a boarder range of spatial experiences.
